Manitoban Wild Flowers (2022)

This collections pays homage to the flora found here in Manitoba’s prairies, along with Margaret’s Red River Métis roots.

Prairie Crocus

This one was inspired by all the wild prairie crocuses she has come across on hikes here throughout Manitoba. It is also Manitoba’s floral emblem.

Beaded with size 11s and some charlottes, edged with size 13 vintage beads that were gifted to her by @fawnandbearco .
Backed with home tanned hide, black leather bolo and leather bolo tips.

Moccasin Flower

This one was inspired by the patch of wild lady slippers growing at Riel House National Historic site- where she spent an entire summer working.

Beaded with size 11s and 13s. Backed with home tanned hide, brown leather and gold bolo tips.

Métis Rose Bolo

The Michif have two flags- one blue which is the most common one you’ll see and one red.

Beaded with size 11 charlottes, so much sparkle.
Backed with home tanned hide, black leather and gold bolo tips.

A Patch of Irises

The bolo is beaded with size 11s and 13s onto home tanned hide. Backed with home tanned hide, black leather and silver bolo tips.

The earrings are beaded with size 13s and some charlottes onto home tanned hide. Edged with fresh water pearls and backed with home tanned hide.
