2 Day Flower Pin Workshop with Gallery 1C03 !

  • Gallery 1C03 515 Portage Avenue Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2E9 Canada (map)

In this two afternoon workshop (Saturday, February 8th from 1-4pm & Sunday, February 9th, from 1-4pm), participants will learn the one needle method of Indigenous beadwork and create a flower pin similar to the one in the photo. This flower is based on one in the ancestor wall pocket that is featured in KC Adams' exhibition Seven Generations. Connecting this workshop to a grandmother piece creates a living link between Indigenous art forms practiced by our ancestors to the present. Participants will learn the history of beadwork and its relationship with Indigenous Peoples in Manitoba.
